    INCO 4006 BUSINESS REPORT WRITING (3 CRS.)

    This course is designed to provide students the experience of analyzing business-related situations and problems that require the production of reports in which research is essential. The students will prepare an informal and/or formal report as part of the course after discussing the theoretical and practical aspects of report writing, the different types of reports, their functions, purposes, formats, and research methods, among others. Considerable practice is given to the correct usage of the English language, for the development of the skills needed in analyzing, researching, organizing and presenting information (research findings) on a given business situation.
    -Class enrollment in this course is limited to twenty-five (25) students.

    The first years Honors English course is designed for entering freshmen who have scored a minimum of 691 (out of 800) on the English section of the College Entrance Examination Board and who are fluent in English. Permission from the English Department chair may be obtained for students who score less than 691. The focus is on the study of the essay, short story, poetry, drama, and novel. The course also includes oral and written practice by means of compositions related to these literary forms.

    Introducción a la redacción de informes técnicos, diseñados para proveerles a los estudiantes las destrezas para escribir informes que requieren investigación de tópicos relacionados a la biología.  Se enfatizará de artículos de revistas o documentos científicos y profesionales.

  • INGL 4022 REDACCIÓN DE INFORMES TÉCNICOS DE LABORATORIO DE BIOLOGÍA (1 CR.)

    Completa el curso de informes Técnicos para Biología.  Los estudiantes junto al profesor, prepararán informes de laboratorio de computadoras para la escritura en inglés.  Se requiere también una presentación oral del informe final.

  • INGL 4326 LITERATURA PARA NIÑOS (3 CRS.)

    Pre-requisito:  INGL 3252

    Se ofrecerá para obtener el certificado de maestros, Departamento de Educación.  No se ofrecerá a estudiantes regulares del colegio.  Curso sobre literatura para niños.  Comprende una selección de obras folklóricas inglesas, de la literatura americana contemporánea y clásicos internacionales en traducción dentro de la literatura para niños y jóvenes.  Se propone realizar un estudio de la crítica y de los valores literarios con un enfoque para la enseñanza de éstos.
