The Organizing Committee of the First International Congress: Puerto Rico and Spain: From the Sephardic Law to the Proposal for Reparative Nationality for Puerto Rico invites all interested parties to submit their proposals for full panel discussions or individual presentations on the central theme of the Congress or any of the various subtopics detailed in this document.
The First International Congress: Puerto Rico and Spain: From the Sephardic Law to the Proposal for Reparative Nationality for Puerto Rico will be held from October 14-17, 2025, at the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus, in the city of Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The event will be organized by the Department of Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamón. The meeting has the generous support of the Autonomous Municipality of Bayamón, the Puerto Rico Civil Rights Commission, and other prestigious institutions and organizations whose logos will be included in the Congress documentation.
Reception of Proposals
Specialists from any country are invited to participate in this meeting. The Organizing Committee provides a list of thematic areas for information purposes. Proposals will be received from February 24, 2025, to May 31, 2025. Both full panel proposals and individual presentations will be accepted. The Congress Scientific Committee will only evaluate proposals submitted before 11:59 p.m. May 31, 2025.
